On February 6, 2016, the sky over eastern Zealand was illuminated by a very powerful fireball. In the Copenhagen area, violent oversonic bangs were heard and shortly afterwards a flurry of meteorites fell into the area around Ejby. The meteorite fall was the largest in Denmark and the second in Denmark in just 7 years. The meteorite turned out to consist of primitive material from the origin of the Solar System - about 35 million years older than our own planet. Trees are some of nature's most successful organisms in terms of distribution, age and size. They are completely dependent on effective fluid transport all the way from the roots to the leaves and on from the leaves out to everything that needs to grow. And they do so without key organs, like the heart and brain – they are simply world champions in decentralized management.
