Micro-and nanomechanical structures as sensors

Small mechanical structures such as lashes, bridges and strings can be used as sensors with surprising properties. For example, nanometer wide strings can be used as ultra-sensitive mass and temperature sensors, simply by analyzing how the resonance frequency changes. It will be displayed
How the mechanics and optics of a Blu-ray player can be used to decant nanomechanical sensors and to manipulate small amounts of liquid so that an entire analysis can be performed on a simple disc.
