Nanosafety – Nanotechnologies and Osh

The increased use of nanotechnology in everyday life and industry has countless advantages. Some nanotechnology applications lead to increased use of nano-sized particles, fibres and flakes. The potentially increased exposure to nanoparticles poses a potential risk to health, especially in the working environment.

Ulla Vogel is a professor of nano security at the National Research Centre for Occupational Safety and health at DTU Nanotech. In her lecture, she gives an overview of the possible health risks of exposure to nanoparticles and nanotubes with a particular focus on cancer and cardiovascular disease.
