Floods are not a new phenomenon, but climate change and increased population pressures also increase the extent and frequency of flooding in the future. This applies, among other things, floods from storm rivers and extreme rainfall, which can lead to significant environmental, societal and economic consequences. The uncertainties about how the climate will change are great, and these are the challenges too. Multidisciplinary cooperation is therefore necessary, involving both natural and socio-scientific research, citizens and decision-makers, and more to make the necessary and correct decisions on climate adaptation and the management of Natural disasters.
