Wave energy is one of the possible energy sources of the future, and the development of wave energy is very much on the agenda of the day. However, why is wave energy suddenly become such a hot topic? How big is the potential really? Where is the development today seen in the national/international perspective? How do the different wave energy concepts work? What are the barriers to the expansion of the wave energy sector? Will wave energy become a new "wind turbine adventure" in Denmark/abroad? Where does the wave energy stand in 10-20 years?

In the lecture, the status of wave energy development will be given and the above issues will be discussed.
