How to Control Electromagnetic Waves by Simple Water-Based Devices?

Ever since their discovery, Maxwell’s equations have been vigorously applied in a large plethora of material configurations providing insights into their physics and applications of utmost societal importance. Over the past two decades, significant efforts in metamaterials and metasurfaces have furnished functional platforms with unprecedented ability of tailoring waves at will. To this end, it was recently proposed to use water as an ingredient in such platforms due to its price, availability, bio-friendly nature and highly tunable properties. In this talk we show how water can be used to design useful microwave platforms like antennas and metasurfaces that are not only simple, but also facilitate a revival of our field by placing mature theories in the context of modern applications.

Der kan parkeres med Easypark langs med Nørre Allé. Der er god offentlig transport til Universitetsparken, busserne 184, 185 og 150S har alle stoppested ved Universitetsparken, og bus 6A har stoppested i nærheden.
