As animals, we have an absolute requirement for
oxygen. Life on Earth is likely intertwined with the
history of atmospheric oxygen levels. But how do we
know how oxygen levels have changed over time and
how do we know how oxygen has impacted the evolution of life? In this talk, I will take you through
some of the methods that we use to explore ancient
oxygen levels and I will also describe how we explore
the oxygen limits for life.
