Now it's time to set the year's high school teacher to the H. C. Ørsted Medal in bronze
Do you know a high school teacher who teaches science in a vibrant, inspiring and very special way? Can the teacher tease the students ' curiosity about science and elevate their professional level? Is the teacher exactly the reason why pupils are looking for a higher education in the natural sciences?
Then you have a great opportunity to help pay tribute to them. Now there are open options for the H. C. Ørsted Medal in bronze, which is awarded to an inspiring high school teacher with a special ability to teach science. Both pupils, teachers and rectors can, like together, nominate the year's high school teacher to the medal. The medal is awarded by the company for the dissemination of the naturalist and is sponsored by the energy company Ørsted.

As something new this year, in addition to the Medal and Honor, the winner will also receive a 25,000 dollar travel grant and DKK 50,000 for a project at high school.
How to set?
The criteria for receiving the H. C. Ørsted Medal are that the trainer:
• Is engaged, imaginative and professionally skilled
• Delivers varied and inspiring teaching
• Manages to elevate the students ' professional level in an extraordinary way and
• Give them interest in studying scientific and technical disciplines
In addition, teacher training should be:
• Visible local, regional or national and
• themselves as ' best practice ' for general dissemination in education.

On the distribution
The company for the spread of nature has set up an evaluation committee to process the settings. The Committee consists of: study lecturer Per Dal Jensen, FHV. We distribute the Hans Christian Ørsted Medal in bronze and celebrate the winner on 9 December 2019 at the H.C. Ørsted Foundation in connection with one of the lectures in the Society for the spread of nature.

About the company for the spread of nature – live dissemination through soon 200 years
The SNU was founded by H.C. Ørsted in 1824.
