We have dedicated our new book "Hans Christian Ørsted – The Unity of Spirit and Nature" to Her Majesty on the occasion of her 80th birthday and so it was only natural to also send her a copy.

Her Majesty was apparently pleased with the gift because already the day after her birthday, she took the time to write a small thank you letter to SNU.

"My heartfelt thanks to the Society for the Dissemination of Nature For the kind congratulations and for the fine publication about the work and thoughts of H. C. Ørsted, which I was very pleased to receive. I hope that it will have a wide-ranging spread as both the book and the subject deserve.
