Indkaldelse af indstillinger til Kirstine Meyers Mindelegat 2020

The Society for the Dissemination of Nature Doctrine (SNU) has decided to distribute one or more portions of Associate Professor, Dr. Mrs. Kirstine Meyer, f. Bjerrum's Memorial Grant in connection with the 200th anniversary of H. C. Ørsted's discovery of electromagnetism (1820).

Kirstine Meyer was the first Danish woman to become a Dr.phil in physics, and in 1920 she was editor of a publication of Ørsted's collected works in celebration of the 100th anniversary of his discovery of electromagnetism. This publication is republished by the Society of Sciences here in 2020, in a very beautifully printed edition.

Snu's executive board has set up a nomination committee consisting of Professor Dorte Olesen, Professor Anja C. Andersen and Professor Sven Frøkjær.

Options for the grant consisting of motivation and a full CV should be sent to Dorte Olesen by 31 October 2020 at the following email: doole@dtu.dk.

The grant is expected to be awarded during November-December 2020 and there is a total grant amount of DKK 45,000, which, according to the committee's opinion, can be awarded together or spread over up to 3 nominees.
