SNU is setting up an exhibition about H. C. Ørsted in Round Tower and we need enthusiasts!
H.C. Ørsted discovered electromagnetism 200 years ago. Today, our entire society is based on technology that capitalizes on H.C. Ørsted discovery. To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the discovery and to tell about the character H.C. Ørsted, the Society for the Dissemination of Nature has an exhibition in the Round Tower, where we tell about the person about the discovery and some of the many other things that H.C. Ørsted dealt with. That it was H.C. Ørsted who came up with the word "spirit of fire"?
The exhibition is located in the Library Hall, located atop Trinitatis church. We need guides to the exhibition, which can help to tell about H.C. Ørsted and explain some of the experiments H.C. Ørsted worked with.
We expect an Ørsted guide to be outgoing, have good communication skills and are interested in physics. Language skills – especially English – are an advantage, as there may be visitors who do not speak Danish.
The exhibition runs from 1/7-25/9 and we are looking for guides for the whole period. We imagine that one is willing to take on a guide for at least 2 consecutive weeks and preferably longer. The exhibition is open during The Round Tower's opening hours, which are Monday to Sunday incl. At. 10-20 all days, so there is the possibility of both full-time and part-time.
There is the possibility of a fee as we have received funds for the exhibition.
Guides will be introduced to H.C. Ørsted and the exhibition before the start, probably in late June.

This article was due to take place on June 15 and very much earlier with a short CV and an indication of when you would want to be an Ørsted guide in July-September.
