SNU celebrated its 190th birthday in 2014. In this connection, and in connection with Niels Bohr the year 2013, a reissue of the original Niels Bohr memorial was made. The Society for the Dissemination of Natural Science also published the original edition shortly after Niels Bohr's death in 1963.

The book provides a unique contribution to understanding the importance of Niels Bohr's Nobel prize-winning work. The book is written by a number of employees at the Niels Bohr Institute, all later internationally renowned researchers in nuclear physics and quantum mechanics.
