The electric car offers options that extend beyond its function as a means of transport. If an electric car is parked, connected to a recharging point, the car can be included as an active player in the Danish electricity grid. This can, for example, be by charging the battery at the most appropriate times primo price or access to renewable current – or by actively keeping the system in balance by "listening" to the power grid's needs.
DTU is working to explore the potential of the electric car in the Danish electricity grid – both to make our electricity grids greener and cheaper in operation – but also for it to be cheaper for the individual to be an electric car sejer.
At the lecture I will also talk about the projects we are currently conducting in cooperation with the automotive industry.
