Latest news from "Curiosity" on Mars

Nasa'S Mars Science Laboratory has now been active several months in the Gale crater on Mars. The composition of the atmosphere has been investigated and it has been shown that, at least for the time being, there is very little methane in the atmosphere; Methane was otherwise detected from Earth-sightings and circuit probes. In two places, the Mars ground has been thoroughly investigated and we now know very accurately the mineral composition of the Mars Earth. In an area that seems to have once been a seabed there is a composition of minerals, which shows that the area has not been sour or alkaline, but that microbes would have been able to thrive at that time liquid water was stable on the surface. The latest results from the mission will be reviewed.
